About Kaz
A Chartered Marketer with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Strategic Marketing and over 20 years experience.
I worked for the UK's Number 1 Retailer, Tesco as a Senior Manager. In 2010 with the onset of Social Media and this new era of Digital Marketing I started out by working with charities, voluntary orgs and local business, This included also have the privilege of creating content for national organisations and companies in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. This resulted in me setting up Soc-Med: Social Media; and thus far I have had the pleasure of working with some fantastic organisations and individuals in a field that I am passionate about and where I can deliver results. This includes the BBC. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and was eventually retired on ill-health grounds in 2011. Keen to do something with my time and keep myself active and focused, I set up an organisation called Positive About MS. So in 2010 I put my Marketing qualifications to use and used social media to launch my organisation. The organisation was well received and now has a very healthy community. We really captured the imagination of the audience and now have a community of over 20,000. Since 2010 I have also had the opportunity of working with numerous charities/orgs with their social media and marketing. I used my knowledge of Marketing and Social Media, together with my experiences gained with working with the UK's Number 1 retailer and running a non-profit organisation, Positive About MS, where I have built a community of 20,000. |
